10 things to do while looking at a photo
Training your eye is very important. To take your photography to the next level and grow as an artist, you need to know what looks good, have an open mind and build your own style.
Point at the first thing that attracts your attention (often being the brightest point in the image)
Try to mentally trace the path your eye takes around the image (it's like connecting the dots in order to discover the story, in this case)

Sweet Taste Of Freedom + Comic Feature
:bulletgreen:In My Life:bulletgreen:
Yay, the semester is finally over! :dummy: Man, I'm so thrilled about my new found freedom that I don't even know what should I begin to do first. The weather has been fabulous for past few days so if you don't see me around here that's because I'm probably hugging the lawn or trees somewhere outside. The beginning of summer always makes me ridiculously happy... :XD:
Anyway, you can expect more comics and artwork soon - I'm going to dig up my sketch books and try to decide what to draw first. So. Many. Ideas. Oh, and those of you who are waiting for me to do a prize artwork/art trade/commission, worry no

This attitude is not ok, for many reasons beside it being completely illogical.
1) You don't get to decide who is a geek or not a geek. Period. Geekdom is about acceptance, not rejection. If you're all about Not Liking Other People That Like The Stuff That You Like, you're not a geek, you're a hipster. Who found a pair of glasses.
2) You don't get to decide who is hot and who is not hot. That girl at the con with thick thighs and a little bit o
So I recently read a journal entry by !humon (https://www.deviantart.com/humon) and I felt compelled to comment on it. Unfortunately, the comment probably belonged here in my OWN journal rather than in hers as a comment, so I'm going to take down my comment and repost it here. Anyway, Humon was talking about how she doesn't like James Bond movies because of how people treat it as more than the male dominated fantasy it is. (where the guy gets to go around killing bad guys with cool toys, wins the girl, has gratuitous sex then drives away in his race car, never to see her again.) I then commented the below journal entry. Here ya go.
It's sad how sexualized both genders a

ast week we published the video of Josh Wattles, makepictures (https://www.deviantart.com/makepictures) Fan Art Law panel from Comic-Con. An educative, passionate and very enlightening conversation soon followed in the comments section. You can participate in that conversation here.
This week the superstars of deviantART panel will provide unique insight and advice for artists on the rise in the deviantART community.
Being a member of the deviantART community might be the most important support system a young artists could ever hope to have. That being said, there is also the problem of f

A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

If you've ever read anything in your life, watched a movie or followed any sci-fi you were influenced by Asimov, even if you didn't know it.

Do you remember the Big Bad Wolf? He destroyed the Three Little Pigs' houses and ate them (or only chased them, depending on the rendition). He ran to Little Red Riding Hood's home and devoured her grandmother. The Big Bad Wolf appears in countless fairy tales to eat and terrorize the general populace.
